Positioned 410 meters high above the pretty white village of Torrox, Finca Don Javier offers you a luxurious escape in the heart of the Andalucian campo. The authentic 350 years old Spanish finca was named after the nobleman who lived here three centuries ago and has just recently been carefully restored in a beautiful country house. On the totally fenced domain of 50 acres you find lush gardens and several terraces on different levels each one offering a unique view on the Mediterranean see, the mountains and the surrounding country with its green scenery, mango, advocado and olive orchards. A large 5m x 10m swimming pool allows to cool down in the warm summer and as it is heated during the cooler months, it can be used all year round. The owners are living on the property and offer two units for rental. The spacious apartment offers a cozy living space that connects to a private patio. The living space is luxuriously furnished and features a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge with (sleeper)sofa. The kitchen wall offers, among other things, a vitro-ceramic hob, microwave, fridge with freezer, Nespresso coffee maker and dishwasher. A little tower connects the living area with the two bedrooms that each has its own en-suite bathroom. The first bedroom has a double bed of 160×200 ; the second bedroom has a double bed of 180×200 that can easily be converted into two single beds. The patio has outside furniture and a gas barbeque allowing for al fresco cooking and eating. On a large extra terrace (shared with the other guests) stands a large dining table. The wide view on the country and sea makes it a perfect place for aperitif and sundowners. The swimming pool has an outside shower, nice teak sunbeds with luxury cushions and parasols. In cooler months the pool is heated so it can be used all year round. A honesty bar is available saving you a walk to your apartment on these thirsty moments.

We wish you a warm welcome in one of our holiday accommodations in Torrox. After years of hard work we decided at the end of 2021 to change our lives and choose for the Spanish sun. After having spent several holidays in Torrox, located east of Malaga and known for its best climate in Europe (“El mejor clima de Europa”), we decided to move over to this lovely place we already know quite well. “Het Blomke”, a well-known and flourishing flower shop in Leuven (Belgim) has been Gert’s passion for over 23 years. Bruno was active as manager of his own IT company and then as financial director for an international company. We are happy to share with you, our guests, this beautiful area. We continue to enjoy it every day: the views, the constantly changing sky, clouds, shades and colors on the surrounding mountains, the murmur of the sea, the splendor of nature. Finca Don Javier and Calaceite “Vistamar” both offer a unique experience. We also wish to bring this unique environment in the atmosphere and furnishing of our holiday accommodations where sustainable materials and a warm contemporary decor go hand in hand with the ambiance of the Spanish sun. Gert’s eye for detail and Bruno’s practical mind ensure a successful combination of atmosphere with modern comforts.

Located just 7 minutes from the highway is Finca Don Javier the ideal location to discover the nearby or further area. You can make nice walks and hikes directly from the doorstep, discover the nearby authentic village of Torrox Pueblo or relax on the beaches of Torrox Costa (10 minutes drive). Nerja, Frigiliana, Malaga, Granada, … can all be easily discovered.
